I have been in a couple of situations when we had no electricity and no communication. What I learned from these experiences, is that in addition to all the standard stuff, the two things you really need that are seldom on all those “supplies you must have lists” are plenty of paper and an analog weather station. Okay, so maybe you do not actually need them, but I did!
I am a serious list maker and weather geek, so read on, you might be surprised to find that you want them too, even if you are as tired...
