Review of the Harbor Freight 10 ton Hydraulic Log Splitter

I did not want to invest a large sum of money in a gasoline powered log splitter. In addition to the upfront cost, they require gasoline and more maintenance than I want to deal with. When I lived in NY I was able to heat my house while using an electric log splitter from Home Depot. The electric log splitter did a good job as long as you were patient and willing to spend the additional time in getting the knotty logs split.
