I have heard this over and over. Last year we installed a Culligan HF-360A inline water filter with P5 (5 micron) filter. We have old city pipes, and there is constant repair somewhere in our city. We installed it last Summer and replaced the filter in December. It is now late July. These filters say 2 months or 8,000 gallons, so we figured 6 months ought to be good with our usage.
